How do I earn more Miles with My Shopping Companion?

To operate My Shopping Companion and activate your Miles offers while shopping, simply click on the ‘Activate offer’ button whenever Miles offers are available on the website of the retailer you are browsing. When you click on the ‘Activate offer’ button, confirmation is displayed on the same button with ‘Offer is activated!’. If you don’t press the ‘Activate the offer’ button, Miles cannot be earned on the purchase(s) being made with the retailer concerned.

My Shopping Companion does not detect a partner retailer, why not?

Certain retailers do not wish to be present on My Shopping Companion. For the partner retailers involved, you must go through the retailer's profile to activate your Miles offer. This list can be modified by the retailers and is thus susceptible to change at any time.

My Shopping Companion works with the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome.

How do I uninstall My Shopping Companion from my browser?

To uninstall your My Shopping Companion add-on:

For Mozilla Firefox

  • In the main menu of the browser, click on Tools
  • Next, click on Add-ons; a new window will open
  • Delete the ‘My Shopping Companion’ line

For Google Chrome

  • In the main menu of the browser, click on Tools, which you will find in the top-right corner
  • Next, click on Extensions
  • Click on the waste paper basket next to My Shopping Companion

For Safari

  • In the menu, click on Preferences, which you will find in the top-right corner
  • Click on Extensions
  • Click on Uninstall

For Internet Explorer

  • Control Panel > Programmes > Uninstall a programme
  • Search for My Shopping Companion among the list and click on Uninstall
  • Follow the instructions on the screen
What are the bonus Miles for all first downloads of My Shopping Companion?

During periods dated and/or communicated by visuals on the website and/or My Shopping Companion page and/or communications sent by Flying Blue shop for Miles, you can earn bonus Miles for any first download and use of My Shopping Companion.
Only the first download per member and per account via any browser is counted. Uninstalling My Shopping Companion and then downloading it again will not result in any additional bonus. Outside of the communicated time period, no bonus Miles will be credited to the member's account for any first download.

Please note : This Miles bonus will be credited as ‘pending’ to your Flying Blue shop for Miles account at the time of the download if you are logged onto Flying Blue shop for Miles, otherwise it will be added after the first click made on My Shopping Companion. This bonus will be validated once the first purchase is made via My Shopping Companion. Any bonus Miles validated in excess of 250 Miles are not automatically added to the Miles in your member’s Flying Blue account. Only Miles validated after a purchase of more than 250 Miles for the first transfer will subsequently trigger the transfer to your Flying Blue account.

By downloading My Shopping Companion, you accept the general terms and conditions.

Why have I not received my bonus Miles for my initial download of My Shopping Companion?

There are three possibilities:

  • No downloads of My Shopping Companion have been registered to your account. In this case, download our add-on by first logging onto Flying Blue shop for Miles.
  • My Shopping Companion has been downloaded during a time period that does not offer any bonus Miles for the initial download.
  • You have yet to use My Shopping Companion.

Please note: Only the first download per member and per account via any browser is counted. Uninstalling My Shopping Companion and then downloading it again will not entitle you to the bonus again.
