Why can I earn more Miles with one company than another?

Our partner companies decide themselves on the number of Miles earned when making a purchase with them.

Miles can not be awarded to members who have used a promo code. Thus, Flying Blue shop for Miles, cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect damage due to misused information. Can I earn Miles on all the products that are sold by the partner companies?

My Miles do not appear in my Flying Blue shop for Miles account, why is that?

Miles should take between 2 and 7 working days to appear in your account. The main reasons why Miles do not appear are:

The amount of Miles or my order is not correct. How can I communicate this to you?

In this case, we suggest that you send us the order confirmation email that our partner retailer sent you (or a screenshot of it, if you are unable to save your emails), a screenshot of your Flying Blue shop for Miles account, ‘My purchases’ tab or your purchase invoice, via our contact form.

Remember : Miles are calculated based on the price excluding VAT, shipping, packaging, cash on delivery, warranty extensions, insurance, booking and administration fees, airport taxes, club memberships, gift certificates, coupons and vouchers.

What is the validity of the Miles in my Flying Blue shop for Miles account?

The balance of your Flying Blue shop for Miles account, including your validated Miles earned after a purchase and bonus Miles, is automatically reset if you have not earned 250 validated Miles following one or more purchases in the twenty-four (24) months after you sign up with Flying Blue shop for Miles.

After reaching this initial amount, your Miles are automatically transferred after each validated purchase.

Why are my Miles still pending in my account?

If your Miles appear as ‘pending’ in your account, it is because they have not yet been validated by our partner retailer.

The validation period for Miles varies from 48 hours to 90 days, depending on our partner retailers. The Miles validation period is different for every retailer. The product return and refund policy in place may vary from one retailer to the other. We suggest that you consult all the conditions for earning Miles on the retailer’s profile.
Tour operators and service providers generally confirm Miles within a minimum of one month after completion of the stay or usage of the service.

In the case of paying for an order in several instalments or deferring it, the Miles may also be credited within a minimum period of one month after your final payment has been completed.

Why do my Miles appear as non-validated in my account?

There are various reasons why Miles can appear as non-validated:

  • The partial or complete return of your order;
  • The use of a promo code that has not been passed onto the Flying Blue shop for Miles programme;
  • A problem with payment of your order;
  • The use of a promo offer from a works council;
  • Full payment of your order with a voucher, credit or gift card;
  • Consultation of another website during your order;
  • Specific retailer conditions for giving Miles;

If none of the above reasons explains why your Miles have not been validated, and if your order was made more than 7 days and less than 6 months ago, please contact our Customer Service.

I forgot to login before making a purchase. Can I still receive my Miles?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to earn Miles retroactively. When making your next purchases, always make sure to visit the partner retailer’s website via Flying Blue shop for Miles, so that our cookies can be filed on the site, and we can give you Miles.

What happens if I cancel a purchase I made or if I want to be refunded?

You can cancel purchases and be reimbursed, just as you would be directly from a retailer. However, Miles cannot be earned for cancelled or refunded orders.
